LionPATH To Close For Maintenance Starting June 11

LionPATH, Penn State’s student information system, will be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance from 5:30 p.m. on Friday, June 11 to 8 a.m. on Sunday, June 13.

The LionPATH Development and Maintenance Organization (LDMO) will perform a required system upgrade and updates for the user experience, like navigation and visual design changes.

“I recognize taking an important system such as LionPATH offline for any period of time will impact students, faculty and staff who use the system on a regular basis,” said director Misty Patcyk. “The downtime is necessary to deliver these important service updates to the system. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we perform this required system maintenance and improve the user experience.”

The new update will remove the Student Center, which let people use an older LionPATH design. Following the update, students will use the new layout that was added in summer 2019.

Penn State employees will see changes in the removal of the main menu and breadcrumbs, which will also be replaced by a navigation bar. This allows users to keep track of what page they’re highlighting.

Moving forward, students are encouraged to use the Penn State Go app or use the LionPATH website since the LionPATH app will be retired following the update.
