Penn State Offering Weekend COVID-19 Testing For Summer Move-In

Penn State will expand its drop-in COVID-19 testing hours this weekend to accommodate students who are moving in on campus for the summer, the university announced Wednesday.

Pegula Ice Arena will be open from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 26, and Sunday, June 27, for students living in the dorms who need to be or would like to be tested for COVID-19.

Traditionally, the arena remains open for drop-in testing from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Pegula Ice Arena will be closed for testing on Monday, July 5, following the Fourth of July.

Students exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, meanwhile, can schedule tests through University Health Services via MyUHS. Employees who are symptomatic should schedule an appointment with their local health care provider.

Additionally, Penn State will host free COVID-19 vaccine clinics for students on June 28 and 29. Students on campus this summer can head to the HUB to get their shots free of charge.
