Student Parking Pass Registration To Open August 17

Student parking registration for the fall 2021 and spring 2022 semesters will begin in mid-August, Penn State announced Wednesday.

Registration will be available exclusively online on the following schedule:

  • Tuesday, August 17, at noon — Off-campus student computer passes (SCR)
  • Wednesday, August 18, at noon — Off-campus long-term storage (lots P43 and YAS)
  • Thursday, August 19, at noon — Resident student permits (lots B11, L22, L42, L81, L82, L83, YWH, anad YAS)

Now that it’s finally open, West Deck (YAS) permits are available for students living on and off campus. West Deck permits will fetch the same rate as Lot 43 off-campus long-term permits.

Across the board, though, parking permit rates remain unchanged from the 2020-21 year. Prices for spring-only permits could increase before sales begin in January.

To purchase parking permits, students need a valid Penn State account and at least 29.1 completed credits under their belts. They’ll also need to provide license plate numbers and vehicle information.

Once registration is complete, students should print out a temporary permit to display on their dashboard until the permanent pass arrives in the mail. When the pass arrives, you can hang it on your rear-view mirror.

You can find more information about student parking through Transportation Services’ email blastsFacebook page, and Twitter account. Students can also email the department with specific questions and concerns.
