Lady Lions Announce 2021-22 Non-Conference Schedule

Penn State women’s basketball announced its non-conference schedule on Thursday.

The Lady Lions are slated to play 11 non-conference games, starting with a November 9 home opener against Long Island University. Penn State will also host Rider University on November 11, and the University of Delaware on November 16.

After those three games, the Lady Lions will hit the road to face Clemson on November 21.

Later, the Lady Lions will compete in the Gulf Coast Showcase from November 26 to 28, as previously announced. They’ll play St. John’s at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, November 26. The winner will go on to face the winner of Iowa and Charlotte on Saturday, November 27.

Programs also competing in the tournament include UCLA, Iowa State, South Dakota State, UMass, Kent State, and Charlotte.

Penn State will also compete in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge against Boston College on December 2. The last time Penn State played Boston College in 2016, the Lady Lions won 60-56.

The Lady Lions will return home to host Youngstown State on December 12 in the BJC. They’ll then hit the road again for two final non-conference games against Duquesne on December 18 and Towson on December 22.
