PennLive Joins Penn State’s Student News Readership Program

PennLive has joined Penn State’s Student News Readership Program, according to the university’s Office for Student Affairs.

PennLive serves central Pennsylvania with local news, sports, and weather. Penn State students at all campuses can register for free access to PennLive’s digital content, including its website, apps, podcasts, and videos.

Penn State launched the Student News Readership Program in 1997 to supply students with free print newspapers. The program became digital-only before the 2020-21 school year due to a decline in print distribution.

Students can visit this page to register for PennLive access. Penn State’s website has links to register for the other members of the program, such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and the Centre Daily Times.
