Penn State-Indiana To Kick Off At 7:30 P.M.

Another prime-time matchup at Beaver Stadium is on the horizon for No. 6 Penn State football.

The Nittany Lions will kick off against Indiana at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 2, the Big Ten announced Monday afternoon. The contest will be broadcast on ABC.

The battle against the Hoosiers will be the final of Penn State’s four-game homestand. The Nittany Lions have won their first two in Beaver Stadium, as they took down Ball State 44-13 in week two and just took care of then-No. 22 Auburn 28-20 at the White Out in nail-biting fashion.

James Franklin’s squad will have a chance at revenge against an Indiana team that’s opened the season with a 1-2 record. In case you forgot, Tom Allen’s group took down Penn State in the 2020 season opener thanks to a controversial final call in Bloomington. That was the beginning of a never-before-seen 0-5 start for the Nittany Lions last fall.

The second prime-time game of the season will also serve as Penn State’s Stripe Out, which hasn’t been seen in Beaver Stadium since a win over Pitt in 2019.

Before the Nittany Lions welcome the Hoosiers, however, they’ll take on Villanova this weekend at Beaver Stadium. That game will kick off at noon Saturday and be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.
