22 Penn State Grads To Receive Alumni Fellow Award

The Penn State Alumni Association will honor 22 graduates with the Alumni Fellow Award — the highest honor presented by the organization.

These alumni are selected by their respective academic colleges for displaying leadership in their selective fields. They then must accept an invitation from President Barron to return to campus to share their success with current students, alumni, and more.

This year, the ceremony will be streamed on Wednesday, October 6, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The event is free as long as you fill out the required registration form.

This year’s recipients are :

  • Rosemary Blieszner, 1982 graduate degree, College of Health and Human Development
  • Eric R. Branyan, 1980, College of Engineering
  • Ty Burrell, 1997 graduate degree, College of Arts and Architecture
  • Kathleen M. Burke, 1976, Nese College of Nursing
  • Renee Christoff, 1977, 1979 graduate degree, College of the Liberal Arts
  • Rawland Cogan, 1981, 1999 graduate degree, Penn State DuBois and College of Agricultural Sciences
  • Andre P. Collins, 1991, College of Health and Human Development
  • Alexa A. Dembek, 1991 graduate degree, Eberly College of Science
  • Jhan D. Doughty, 1994 and 2001 graduate degrees, College of Education
  • David J. Gray, 1977 and 1979 graduate degree, College of the Liberal Arts 
  • Reginald D. Hedgebeth, 1989, College of the Liberal Arts
  • Wanda Bryant Hope, 1987, Smeal College of Business
  • Dusty Kirk, 1979 graduate degree, Dickinson Law
