[Photo Story] Homecoming Hosts Best Of Penn State Carnival

One of Penn State’s Homecoming traditions is its Best of Penn State Carnival, an event held on the HUB Lawn that offers games, inflatable “rides,” free ice cream, and more to celebrate Dear Old State.

Let’s take a look at some of the events and activities that the carnival offered students this year.

One of the most popular attractions was the set of inflatable “rides” offered to students.

Many students duked it out on an inflatable jousting and sword-fighting attraction which was easily one of the more popular offerings of the event.

Another one of the most popular attractions was the bull ride. Students worked to beat the day’s record of just over a minute.

Students also enjoyed a large inflatable slide.

In addition to the inflatable attractions, lots of students could be found playing lawn games, such as cornhole, Kan-Jam, Spikeball, and Mega Jenga.

The Carnival also offered a tie-dye station.

Guests from all over State College attended the event, including this little Nittany Lion, reminding guests of all ages what Homecoming celebrates.

By all accounts, this year’s carnival was a smashing success. Homecoming events continue throughout the week, leading up to Penn State football’s game against Illinois on Saturday, October 23.
