THON To Host Community Roundtable October 25

THON will host a community roundtable this week to start an “honest conversation” surrounding its culture, plus topics like diversity, equity, and inclusion.

From 6 to 7 p.m. on Monday, October 25, in 104 Thomas, Penn State students and community members are invited to join the conversation and share their thoughts with THON.

“We recognize the adverse impact that THON can have on both individuals and the larger community, and we are committed to hearing these perspectives,” THON said in a release “Our goal is to listen to your feedback and use it to better our efforts of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.”

Those interested in attending can sign up here.

Over the summer, THON released a new plan that outlined initiatives it would take to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout its organization. New initiatives include name-blind application reviews and more accessible event planning.

THON 2022 will stretch from February 18 to 20, 2022. Its theme, announced during Homecoming last week, is “Spark Endless Light”.
