Penn State’s Jesse Luketa Accepts Senior Bowl Invite

Penn State defensive end-linebacker hybrid Jesse Luketa accepted his invite to the 2022 Reese’s Senior Bowl Monday evening.

He is the second player in the country, and the first Nittany Lion, to accept his invitation so far. Last season, Shaka Toney and Tariq Castro-Fields both accepted Senior Bowl bids.

This season, Luketa has played to the prestige of his captain’s role. Starting every game, the Canada native has compiled 47 tackles, a pick-six, and half a sack.

The Senior Bowl annually recruits seniors from across the country to showcase their talents in front of NFL scouts. Unsurprisingly, the teams are coached by NFL coaches ahead of the game itself, which is played in front of NFL executives.

This year’s Senior Bowl will kick off on February 5, 2022, from Mobile, Alabama.
