Report: Penn State Offensive Lineman Desmond Holmes Enters Transfer Portal

Penn State football offensive lineman Desmond Holmes has entered reportedly the NCAA transfer portal, according to Rivals.

Holmes’ reported decision to transfer comes after former Nittany Lion defensive backs Tyler Rudolph and Enzo Jennings entered the transfer portal over the last two weeks.

Holmes was a three-star recruit and the 13th-highest-ranked recruit in Pennsylvania when he committed as a member of Penn State’s Class of 2017. He was the 18th-highest-ranked recruit of that Nittany Lions class, which included recognizable names like Sean Clifford, Journey Brown, and KJ Hamler.

Over his Penn State career, Holmes has appeared in 32 games. The redshirt senior made appearances in all but two games this past season as the team’s offensive line struggled to perform well and stay health.

A redshirt senior, Holmes would enter the portal as a graduate transfer, giving him one more year of eligibility wherever he winds up.
