Saint’s Cafe Set To Close December 19

After more than two decades of serving coffee in downtown State College, Saint’s Cafe is set to permanently close on December 19.

“After deep reflection and twenty two years of service, we have decided to close Saint’s Cafe,” it said in an Instagram post. “We want to thank all of our past and present employees, and customers old and new for their patronage over the years.”

Saint’s will continue operating through finals week and close its doors permanently on Sunday, December 19. You can still buy coffee and merchandise from Saint’s’ online store in the meantime.

The shop at 123 West Beaver Ave. will be replaced by Elixr Coffee, a coffee roasting company from Philadelphia. It’s unclear when the transition will exactly take place.

Saint’s originally opened its doors in 1999 and has been serving the State College community in the 22 years since.
