Set Foot In Happy Valley: An Open Letter To The L.L.Bean Bootmobile

Dear Bootmobile,

As the temperature starts to drop and snow begins to fall in State College, the Bootmobile-shaped hole in my heart gets bigger. With each frigid day, I long for your presence. I want to request from the bottom of my heart and the depths of my sole that you set foot here in Happy Valley.

We’ve already been taken for a spin in the Weinermobile and the NUTmobile when they visited Penn State, so you’d have some pretty big shoes to fill, but we think you could do it. After all, you’re probably pretty good at kicking ass.

If you don’t make a stop here in Happy Valley, however, I’ll have no choice but to give you last place in the official ranking of oversized vehicles that visit Penn State. That would certainly be bad for business.

On your website, you said you’ve been to dozens of college campuses. Why not leave your footprint at Penn State? We would definitely knock your socks off.

So, what do you say? Put your best foot forward and head on over to Happy Valley. With all the boot puns I just dropped, Penn State should be a shoe-in for your next campus cameo.

After all, these boots are made for walkin’…to State College, Pennsylvania.

From Happy Valley with love,

Grace
