Students Could Win Cash Through Voluntary Health Survey

Beginning on January 31, the American College Health Association will randomly select students to participate in a voluntary email survey through a partnership with Penn State’s Office of Student Affairs.

Selected students will receive a message from the National College Health Assessment through their student emails and have until February 18 to complete the confidential survey. More importantly, those who complete the voluntary survey could win a handful of prizes, including:

  • $75 LionCash for one student
  • $50 LionCash for 20 students
  • $30 LionCash for 45 students
  • $50 Campus Bookstore gift card for five students
  • $30 Campus Bookstore gift card for seven students

The survey hopes to improve student welfare programs and services at Penn State by gathering information on student preferences and their health behaviors. Past surveys have identified issues with and created programs to help with sleep, stress, healthy relationships, and more.

According to Penn State’s 2020 student health survey results, the largest problem students faced was procrastination, with 40% of students answering that procrastination has negatively impacted their academic performance within the last 12 months.

The American College Health Association sponsors and distributes the survey every two years. The 2020 Penn State student health survey results can be found here.
