Bryce Jordan Center Sends Virtual Message To Penn State Children’s Hospital

Although THON 2022 is back in the Bryce Jordan Center, some Four Diamonds children and families were unable to join due to COVID-19-related restrictions. To still share the love, the entire arena came together on Saturday to send a message to those watching the THON livestream from Penn State Health Children’s Hospital.

A Family Relations captain took the stage around 4:30 p.m. and spoke directly to the livestream audience, welcoming viewers to THON 2022.

“We are sending you all of our love from the BJC,” she said. “The THON community is so humbled by your courage, honesty, wisdom, and strength.”

Then, the BJC waved in unison to help Four Diamonds children see just how many folks showed up to support THON in person.

Next, a “Go State! Beat Cancer!” chant broke out and filled the BJC. Dancers and spectators alike flashed their diamonds up to close out the message to the hospital.
