The Best Of 2022 State Patty’s Day Apparel

Now that THON is over and spring break gets closer, it’s officially time for State Patty’s. Before you hit the town, though, you’ll need to figure out what to wear.

Downtown shops have been preparing for weeks as pops of green make their way into window displays. Choices range from basic green tees to overpriced crop tops and maybe even some sexy costumes, too. You just never know what you might find on the shelves.

Before State Patty’s gets here, take a look at some of our favorite stylings we found downtown.

Classic Green Shirt — McClanahan’s

College kids like two things: easy and cheap. This clean, classic shirt is just $11. That’s a perfect deal if you want a shirt that can survive beer being spilled on all weekend long.

Long Sleeve State Patty’s — McLanahan’s

Another solid classic. State Patty’s Day isn’t exactly looking warm this year, so long sleeves may be a good suggestion if you find yourself wandering from daylong to daylong. It takes just $16 to ensure you aren’t that person who’s complaining they’re cold.

‘Let’s Get Shammrocked’ — Family Clothesline

Even though most of us aren’t Irish, we still need to celebrate the spirit of Saint Patrick. Forget getting “schmacked” or whatever term you may use to express excessive drinking. We are getting “shamrocked” this weekend, fellow leprechauns.

Basic White Crop Top — Family Clothesline

For all my basic girls, this is for you. How cute! This is a nice play on a classic, cheap shirt…ironically just not as cheap (read: $20) and a little bit shorter. I would rank this higher, but I am not a big fan of thin, white material. This is not the kind of shirt I would want to risk spilling stuff on.

Cozy Crewneck — McLanahan’s

Did I buy this for myself? That’s a secret for me and my debit card.

I love the crew neck! It’s festive, but also provides some comfort. Who wants to be uncomfortable while shotgunning a Natty? Plus, it was in a price range cheap enough ($20) that I won’t feel bad if I take a pair of scissors to crop it just a bit.

Sexy Leprechan Outfit — McLanahan’s

This is so…unique

Will I be wearing this? Hell no. However, I know there is some confident soul out there that will be wandering into McLanahan’s to purchase this costume. If that’s you, more power to you.
