Update, February 27: The first and second game of the best-of-three series will begin at 7 p.m. on both Friday, March 4, and Saturday, March 5. If the series goes to a third game, that puck drop will take place at 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 6.

Original Post: Penn State men’s hockey’s matchup is set for the upcoming Big Ten Tournament, as the Nittany Lions will travel to Columbus to take on No. 12 Ohio State in the quarterfinals next weekend.

The quarterfinals of the tournament consist of a best-of-three series, as all three games will be played at Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio. If the Nittany Lions advance past Ohio State, they will play the winner of Notre Dame vs. Wisconsin in the semifinals of the tournament on Saturday, March 12.

So far this season, Penn State doesn’t have the best track record against the Buckeyes. The Nittany Lions own a 1-3 record against Ohio State during its current campaign, only taking one game in a shootout in January at Pegula Ice Arena. Before that victory, the Nittany Lions were swept by the Buckeyes in their opening Big Ten series.

Penn State’s first game of the tournament will be on Friday, March 4. The time of the game has yet to be announced.
