John Harrar Earns All-Big Ten Honorable Mention Honors

For the second straight year, Penn State men’s basketball forward John Harrar has earned All-Big Ten honors.

On Tuesday, the 6’9″ senior received an All-Big Ten honorable mention from both the conference’s media and coaches. Harrar also received a Big Ten sportsmanship honor, which is dished out to a deserving player on all 14 conference teams.

Harrar, a fifth-year senior, is shooting 64.8% from the foul line so far this season. By posting 10.5 points and 10.3 rebounds per game, he’s one of two Big Ten hoopers averaging a double-double, too.

Harrar is the lone Nittany Lion represented on the Big Ten’s all-conference teams.

Penn State’s postseason begins on Wednesday, March 9, with a Big Ten Tournament-opening rematch against Minnesota. Tip-off in Indianapolis is scheduled for approximately 8:30 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.
