Penn State Men’s Soccer Unveils Spring 2022 Schedule

Penn State men’s soccer released its seven-match spring 2022 schedule on Monday afternoon. The upcoming slate features exhibition matches against both NCAA and United Soccer League teams.

Penn State, the Big Ten’s regular-season and tournament champion, will start spring competition on Saturday, March 19, with a game against USL League Two side FC Motown at Montclair State. The only other away match comes on Saturday, March 26, against American University.

The Nittany Lions return home on Saturday, April 9, for a doubleheader against Millersville at 2:30 p.m. and Seton Hall at 5 p.m. The team will host another doubleheader on Saturday, April 16, against Robert Morris at 2:30 p.m. and Cornell at 5 p.m.

The spring’s final match comes against Lock Haven at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 22. All home games will be played at Jeffrey Field.

In 2021, head coach Jeff Cook’s completed the Big Ten double for the first time since 2005. The Nittany Lions sputtered in the NCAA Tournament with a first-round loss to Hofstra.
