How Would Famous Penn Staters Customize Their Golf Balls?: Part 2
Spring is (technically) upon us, folks!
Even though the weather in Happy Valley may be miserable not great, the azaleas are blooming down in Augusta, Georgia, which means it’s time for every golfer’s favorite week of the year: The Masters!
This tradition unlike any other has given us another case of golf fever. As students flock to the links soon, we thought it would be interesting to brainstorm some different golf balls for Penn State celebrities, just like we did last year.
With a bit of a fresh perspective and some new Penn Staters to choose from, here’s what we came up with
Neeli Bendapudi
President-elect Neeli Bendapudi will serve as Penn State’s 19th president starting in May. Most notably, she will be the first woman and person of color to lead the university in its 167-year history. Whenever anyone comes across this ball on the golf course, they’ll know it belongs to Penn State royalty.
James Franklin
We felt that last year’s ball needed an upgrade, so we went with No. 11 for James Franklin, signifying his 11-11 record in the last two years. Zing!
Even though the record may not be great, signing a new 10-year, fully-guaranteed $70 million contract back in November is certainly something he’d want to celebrate on the side of the ball.
John Harrar
Do we even need to explain this one?
Cael Sanderson
Playing good golf is all about confidence. So, what builds up your confidence by reminding yourself that you coach the most dominant program in college athletics?
With 13 national titles (nine competing and four coaching) under Sanderson’s belt, it’s safe to say that he is one of the most dominant figures in college athletics. Who wouldn’t want to include someone like him in their party?
Trace McSorley
I mean, you gotta admit that the song is at least a little bit catchy, right?

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
