Applications Now Open for Penn State Alumni Association’s 2022-23 Class of Young Alumni Ambassadors

Applications are now open for the 2022-23 class of Young Alumni Ambassadors.

The Penn State Alumni Association’s Young Alumni Ambassador program provides young alumni with opportunities to engage with fellow young alumni through a curriculum focused on professional and personal development.

Open to all December 2021 and Spring 2022 graduates, the curriculum will be devoted to enhancing the connections between young alumni, the Penn State Alumni Association, and the University.

Participants will have the opportunity to develop into confident and capable leaders, feel inspired to increase their own participation, and motivate others to give back to the Alumni Association and Penn State through volunteerism, membership and active engagement.

Selected candidates can expect to:

  • Join a nine-month program that entails monthly, virtual sessions and two, day-long engagement opportunities;
  • participate in a three-day capstone “retreat” program that combines exclusive learning sessions, world-class alumni speakers and University leaders, and hands on learning and coaching;
  • work with 15-20 young alumni with a commitment to ensuring the cohort mirrors the diversity of the University;
  • develop and understand one’s self through a Leadership Profile;
  • participate in philanthropic and service projects;
  • volunteer with an affiliate group;
  • take part in interactive opportunities to partner with outside stakeholders as deemed appropriate.

Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, June 24, 2022, and can be accessed here.
