Penn State Athletics To Host ‘Roar & Rally’ To Celebrate 50 Years Of Title IX

Penn State Athletics will hold a ‘Roar & Rally’ celebration on Thursday, June 23 to celebrate the 50-year anniversary of Title IX, the department announced Monday.

The day will kick off with check-in in the Stadium West parking lot at 11 a.m., followed by a one-mile walk at 11:30 a.m. from the “We Are” Statue on Curtin Road to Old Main Lawn. The rally and celebration itself will then begin at 12:05 p.m. at Old Main.

Participants will get a free t-shirt, rally towels, and snacks, while also having the chance to listen to guest speakers share their experiences with Title IX.

The rally also acts as the launch of the Penn State Women’s Athletic Endowment, which aims to celebrate and support all women’s athletics at Penn State.

Registration is free and the link to sign up can be found here. If you would like to support but cannot attend the event in person, you can click this link or text “50YEARSTITLEIX” to 4144 to donate.
