Penn State Women’s Soccer Announces 2022 Schedule

After a positive 2021 season, which included an NCAA Tournament win at USC, Penn State women’s soccer is ready for its 2022 return.

The Nittany Lions announced their full 2022 schedule Friday afternoon. Erica Dambach’s team will play eight of its 16 matches at Jeffery Field.

The Nittany Lions begin play with six out-of-conference opponents, starting with a home match against Georgetown on August 18 – the first Penn State competition at home of the 2022-23 school year. An important road test comes against powerhouse Stanford on September 1. Non-Big Ten play finishes at home against Liberty University on September 6.

Penn State’s ten Big Ten games begin on September 18 at Indiana, and wraps up with away trips to Nebraska and Iowa. After an early exit in the Big Ten tournament last season, the Nittany Lions will aim to improve upon their in-conference play.

Here’s the full schedule:

  • August 18 vs. Georgetown
  • August 25 vs. West Virginia
  • August 28 @ Monmouth
  • September 1 @ Stanford
  • September 4 @ Santa Clara
  • September 6 vs. Liberty

  • October 9 @ Maryland
  • October 14 vs. Wisconsin

Penn State soccer games are free to attend at Jeffrey Field. Students can join the Park Avenue Army in the stadium’s raucous student section.
