Student Farm Club To Host Fall Plant Sale August 5 & 6

The Student Farm Club is hosting its fall plant sale this weekend beginning on Friday. The sale will take place between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Friday, August 5, and from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, August 6.

Plants can be picked up at the Dr. Keiko Miwa Ross farm, which is located at the intersection of Big Hollow Road and Fox Hollow Road on Penn State’s campus.

The Farm Club’s student interns raised all seedlings, including cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, kohlrabi, kale, swiss chard, zucchini, squash, and cucumbers. Each seedling is $2.50 or five for $10. The club accepts only cash or checks.

If you’re new to the farming world, the Farm Club also offers an online Fall Planting Guide to keep your plants flourishing after your purchase.

Be sure sure to bring a box or bag to carry your new plants, and any questions can be sent to [email protected].
