Barney Amor Named To Ray Guy Award Watch List

Penn State punter Barney Amor has been named to the Ray Guy Award watch list, the team announced Monday afternon.

The Ray Guy Award is presented annually to college football’s most efficient punter. Amor joins the previous two starting punters before him, Blake Gillikin and Jordan Stout, to be named to the list.

Amor had himself a great outing in Penn State’s 35-31 victory over Purdue. The sixth-year senior booted eight punts for an average of 46.9 yards, including three that were downed inside the 20-yard line.

The Doylestown, Pennsylvania native’s season started on a high note when Eli Manning announced that he would be put on full scholarship in front of the entire team.

Amor and Penn State will be back in action this weekend when the Nittany Lions take on Ohio University in their home opener at noon on Saturday, September 10. The game will be televised on ABC.
