Lady Lions Unveil 2022 Big Ten Schedule

Penn State women’s basketball released its Big Ten matchups for the upcoming 2022 season Wednesday afternoon.

Head coach Carolyn Kieger and her squad will host nine conference games at the Bryce Jordan Center this season in hopes of rebounding from their 5-13 Big Ten record last year.

The Lady Lions will travel to Minneapolis for their Big Ten season opener against Minnesota on Saturday, December 3. The following week, Penn State will host its conference home opener against Indiana on Thursday, December 8. Rutgers will also stop by Happy Valley to challenge the Lady Lions on Friday, December 30.

Then, Kieger’s team will face off against eight Big Ten opponents in January, including Purdue, Minnesota, and Wisconsin at home. The Lady Lions will travel to Michigan, Nebraska, Iowa, Rutgers, and Maryland that month.

In the last month of Big Ten play, Penn State will challenge Northwestern, Iowa, Ohio State, and Maryland at home and also trek to Michigan State, Illinois, and Purdue throughout February.

Specific times and broadcast information will be announced at a later date.
