Penn State Air Force ROTC To Host Freedom 5K November 6

Penn State students and those in the surrounding community are invited to participate in the Freedom 5K at noon on Sunday, November 6, hosted by Air Force ROTC Detachment 720 in support of the Operation Red Wings Foundation.

Operation Red Wings is an organization that focuses on supporting veterans and their families. The organization “provides veterans and their families with a path to healing from their invisible wounds.” Proceeds raised by the Freedom 5K will be donated to the organization to support its mission.

Registration for the race is free, but donations are encouraged. The race will begin at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Water bottles and snacks will be provided.

The first three male and female winners will each receive Amazon gift cards of $100, $50, and $25 depending on the finisher’s placement.
