Penn State Opens Photo Submissions For New ID Card

Say cheese!

As Penn State continues to phase in its updated ID card, the university is requesting students, faculty, and staff who have the older card to submit new profile photos for their replacements by Wednesday, November 23.

Photos can be taken against a neutral background without any filters. They can’t be cropped and shouldn’t include headwear such as hats or sunglasses.

Here’s how to submit a new photo:

  1. Download the Transact eAccounts Mobile app from the App Store or Google Play to your phone.
  2. Search for Penn State and click the SSO (single sign-on) login screen.
  3. Enter your Penn State user ID ([email protected]) to authenticate your device.
  4. Upload your updated ID photo on the Transact eAccounts Mobile app. Note: The photo must meet the requirements outlined here.
  5. If there are any problems uploading your photo, contact [email protected].

Alternatively, students, faculty, and staff can visit an ID office on campus before November 23 to have their photos taken.

Re-carding will take place during the spring 2023 semester. Anyone who received a new ID card after May 10 don’t need to participate.
