[Photo Story] Penn State vs. Indiana

Following Penn State football’s loss to Ohio State last weekend, the team prevented a losing streak with a dominant 45-14 win over the Indiana Hoosiers. There was plenty of action on what turned out to be an eventful day in Bloomington.

Our photographers traveled to Indiana this weekend to capture scenes from the game. Let’s take a look at some of our favorite photos.

As always, the team arrived in style and took a look around Memorial Stadium before getting ready for warmups.

The Nittany Lion faithful who traveled to Bloomington eagerly watched warmups as they awaited the decision on who would start at quarterback for Penn State.

After fireworks and a flyover, it was game time.

After a slow start, the offense got cooking. Sean Clifford threw for 229 yards while targeting Brenton Strange, Theo Johnson, and Mitchell Tinsley, among others.

Despite the strong passing game, this was a game dominated by the running backs. Nick Singleton had one early touchdown, and Kaytron Allen put up a hat trick with three touchdowns.

The defense had a great day, too. The team combined for six sacks and three interceptions, only allowing 14 points throughout the entire game.

In the second half, Sean Clifford checked out and Drew Allar checked in.

Allar got significant playing time under center, throwing for two touchdowns in the second half of the game.

As the sun set over Memorial Stadium, Indiana fans had vacated most of the stadium. Only a few students stuck it out through the final whistle.

Once the clock hit zero, the team celebrated its win. For the second time this season, the team had bounced back after a tough loss to prevent a losing streak. The Nittany Lions headed back to Happy Valley 1-0 this weekend.
