Penn State Football Ranked No. 14 In College Football Playoff Top 25 Rankings

Penn State is moving back up, folks.

The Nittany Lions were ranked No. 14 in this week’s College Football Playoff top 25 rankings, jumping up one from last week.

Penn State is coming off a dominant, and much-needed, 45-14 win over Indiana in Bloomington on Saturday. Sean Clifford started the game for the Nittany Lions and completed 15-of-23 passes for 229 yards. On the other side of the ball, Manny Diaz’s defense generated three turnovers.

Perhaps, the highlight of the game was Kaytron Allen’s performance. The true freshman continued his hot rushing streak, scoring three touchdowns and racking up 86 yards on 18 carries. He also caught two passes for 72 yards.

In the AP Top 25 Poll, the Nittany Lions clocked in at No. 14 on Sunday, while Ohio State and Michigan were at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. Illinois stayed ranked at No. 21, as well. Penn State was also ranked No. 15 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.

Penn State will be back in Happy Valley this weekend when it takes on Maryland this Saturday, November 12. Kickoff is slated for 3:30 p.m., and the game will be broadcasted on FOX.
