Penn State To Celebrate GivingTuesday Beginning November 28

Penn State will celebrate its eighth annual GivingTuesday event from 6:55 p.m. on Monday, November 28, until midnight on Tuesday, November 29.

GivingTuesday is one of Penn State’s largest fundraising events that benefits students. Over 155 organizations will contribute to the event through various programs and scholarships that aim to create a safe and healthy community for students.

The GivingTuesday campaign highlights investment in the arts, environmental sustainability and outreach, and educational equity and access. The event will also feature the highest number of student-run initiatives to date, with 38 diverse organizations contributing to the celebration.

In addition to the increased fundraising and support, the Penn State community can participate in GivingTuesday by attending an in-person event hosted by Penn State’s Student Philanthropy Network from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on November 29 in the HUB.

Last year, Penn State set a GivingTuesday record by raising $1.25 million through more than 10,500 gifts.

More information and updates on the progress of GivingTuesday’s fundraising efforts can be found at givingtuesday.psu.edu, and information about the impact of giving can be found at raise.psu.edu.
