Downtown State College Offering Free Parking For Holiday Season

Free holiday parking is back, folks.

Visitors can now enjoy free two-hour parking at the Beaver, Pugh, and Fraser garages. Still, make sure to scan the ticket you received on your way into the garage at the payment kiosk before you leave.

Street meters and metered lots are free from 5 to 10 p.m. daily.

Additionally, you can pick up free CATA bus tokens from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the Downtown Improvement Office, located at 127 S. Fraser Street. One token is valid for one CATA fare and the promotion is limited to one per person per visit.

From December 23 to January 2, unlimited free parking will be available at downtown garages, street meters, and metered lots.

Last year, the borough ran similar promotions from November 22 to January 2.
