Penn State Men’s Hockey Remains At No. 5 In Latest USCHO Poll

Penn State men’s hockey is still No. 5 in the latest USCHO Poll.

The team stays at No. 5 after the Nittany Lions split a series at Notre Dame over the weekend. Guy Gadowsky’s team won game one 5-2 but then fell 5-3 the following night.

Penn State is currently 15-5 overall and 7-5 in the Big Ten. The Nittany Lions haven’t swept a conference opponent since facing Wisconsin back in October. Penn State is currently second in the Big Ten behind Minnesota.

Penn State is among five other Big Ten teams ranked, joining Minnesota (No. 3), Michigan (No. 7), Michigan State (No. 11), Ohio State (No. 14), and Notre Dame (No. 19).

After facing tough opponents in Notre Dame and Ohio State the last two weeks, Penn State now has a lengthy hiatus until December 30, when the Nittany Lions begin a home-and-home series against RIT.
