Burglary Reported On University Park Campus

There has been a burglary reported on Penn State’s University Park campus, according to a timely warning sent out by the university Wednesday night.

The alleged burglary happened between 11:02 and 11:22 p.m. on Monday, December 19, at the West Campus 2 construction site, according to the email. University Police received word of the incident at 6 p.m. Wednesday evening.

The suspect, who is reportedly a male between 5’10” and 6’2″ that was wearing a dark-colored jacket, light-colored pants, and a headlamp flashlight, entered the construction site and removed items. He eventually left in “an older model, single cab, Chevrolet pick-up truck,” according to the report.

“It can be assumed that conditions continue to exist that may pose a threat to members and guests of the University community,” the email reads. “It is the duty of the administration to warn of possible ‘dangerous conditions’ on or near the campus, and at affiliate organizations off campus; an ‘affirmative duty’ exists to warn persons associated with the University of possible peril at the hands of some third party or parties.”

The West Campus 2 construction site is located adjacent to White Course Drive between the West Parking Deck and West Campus Chiller.
