Best Of Spring 2023 Sylly Week Yik Yak

Now that students are back on campus, State College Yik Yak is up and running again without missing a beat. The social media app known for its anonymous posts by people in the local community was very active this week, to say the least.

Since Sylly Week is when students are readjusting back to life at Penn State, the Yik Yaks are undoubtedly interesting. So, we compiled some of the best from the week for your viewing pleasure.

“This semester I’m going to find and shit in as many new bathrooms as possible”

We’re sure your parents will be thrilled to hear this is how you’re spending your time at Penn State.

“Is it acceptable to take myself out to a bar alone”

You do you, man. Whatever makes you happy. You might meet some new friends during your solo night out!

“Listening to crazy train while having diarrhea is wild”

Sounds like you had quite the experience on the toilet.

“Manifesting that my lab partners this sem r hot”

*Hot and smart.

“Riding the bus feels like I’m at Disney, I can’t explain it”

If Disney is in the middle of nowhere with freezing cold weather, then yeah, sure.

“I covered her mouth during doggy and she started beatboxing”

Now that’s some talent.

“I’m calling the bloop the boop from now on. We’re leaving all L’s in 2022”

Boop and Whoop. Ws only in 2023.

“Whoever I passed wearing shorts must not be doing well bc who in their right mind would do that to themselves”

Maybe try investing in some sweatpants. As many of us may know, winters here are brutal.

“Glad to see the rotc kids didn’t die at war over break”

TYFYS.

“Shoutout to my upstairs neighbor who is always fucking but never for more than a minute”

Speed is queen, but quality is king.

“Sigma Rule #1: If your tummy hurts, go to the potty”

Better to be safe than sorry, folks.

“Someone get the Willard preacher on Yik Yak I just wanna see what he has to say about y’all”

We would love to know his thoughts on the recent content on Yik Yak.

“I need a muscle mommy”

Don’t we all?

“Can we start doing our arboretum orgies on a weekly basis? I am jealous of how Pitt does them weekly and we have ours so rarely”

It’s giving twerk-circle vibes.

“I have her wear workout clothes to her D appointments so when she does the walk of shame it looks like a morning jog”

How generous and considerate of you.

“I wanna get hit by a catabus”

It be like that sometimes. But hey, chin up, we’ve all been there.

“Wasn’t gonna drink much this sylly week but now I’m on a 5 day bender so it is what it is”

Lucky for you, this is the only week this semester when that’s acceptable.

“At the end of the day we are still in central Pennsylvania”

Hey now. Remember where you came from. There’s truly nowhere like Happy Valley.

“Use code “underage” for 50% off den line leap”

Wait, does this actually work? Asking for a friend…

“New classmate crushes are real and in full effect”

New year, new semester, new class crushes. Tinder is sooo last semester.
