You Need A New Playlist: An Open Letter To Whoever Is On Aux At The Lorenzo Wrestling Complex

Dear whoever is on aux at the Lorenzo Wrestling Complex,

We know how much you love “Hall of Fame” by The Script. In fact, we hear it every single day, all day long, when we pass by the entrance. Your Spotify Wrapped must be exhausted.

Believe us when we say that we understand your love for the tune. The 2012 banger took the world by storm. The people loved it. Sports television networks loved it. Our then elementary school-aged staffers loved it. Why wouldn’t they, when the song oozes perhaps the most nauseatingly inspirational lyrics to grace radios in this century?

But, 2023 called, and it’s begging you to pick up the phone. It’s been nearly 11 years since “Hall of Fame” hit the airwaves and iPods everywhere. We think it’s time for a new song. Or perhaps, multiple songs.

So, we’ve compiled this playlist of certified hype songs that are guaranteed to help complex-goers and passersby feel like inspired badasses. With rap classics like “HUMBLE.” by Kendrick Lamar, emo staples such as Bring Me The Horizon’s “Throne,” and classic rock anthems like “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap” by AC/DC, this playlist is sure to breathe new life into the Lorenzo Wrestling Complex’s aux.

Don’t let this year go down as another one spent in a continuous “Hall of Fame” loop. There’s still time to stop this madness. Happy listening!
