Lady Lions To Participate In Play4Kay National Free Throw Challenge

Penn State women’s basketball is staying in the fight against breast cancer.

The Lady Lions announced Wednesday that they would continue their support of the Pink Zone with participation in the Play4Kay National Free Throw Challenge.

The challenge allows fans to pledge a donation for every free throw that the Lady Lions sink in the month of February. In 2022, the team used the challenge to raise just over $800 for Kay Yow Foundation, a charity that fundraises for breast cancer patients.

The Lady Lions will play against No. 6 Iowa in their annual Pink Zone game, which supports the Pennsylvania Pink Zone, at the Bryce Jordan Center. Tipoff is set for noon on Sunday, February 5, and the game will be broadcast on Big Ten Network.

Those looking to pledge to the challenge can support the charity here.
