Your THON 2023 Weekend Weather Forecast

The yearlong wait is over. It’s finally THON Weekend!

This weekend’s forecast is a nice one following the beautiful weather seen Wednesday. Whether you will be in the Bryce Jordan Center this weekend or participating in events on campus, the weather will be pleasant but a bit cooler. Here’s a look at AccuWeather‘s forecast:

Friday

Light precipitation is forecasted for the morning, and the rest of the day will be mostly cloudy and windy. With a high of 53 degrees, we suggest a layer just in case it becomes cooler in the afternoon. Wind will gust at 38 mph, with an average of 20 mph.

You will definitely need a warm coat in the evening, as the temperature is projected to drop to a low of 21 degrees. Brrr!

Saturday

Saturday will be colder than Friday, with a high of 44 degrees during the day. Saturday will be kinder than Friday on other fronts, though, with no precipitation forecasted and only 9 mph winds projected.

If you plan to arrive at the Bryce Jordan Center during the graveyard shift, you’ll definitely need some layers, as the temperature drops to 27 degrees. Perhaps the cold will keep you awake for Sunday?

Sunday

The final day of THON will thankfully be the mildest, featuring sunny morning skies and cloud coverage in the afternoon. The wind will finally calm down with an average of 6 mph. The high will be 48 degrees, so layers are recommended. At 35 degrees, the evening will be warmer than the two preceding days, but still chilly, so make sure to get home before the temperature drops.
