Penn State Softball Cancels Pair Of Games Due To Weather

Penn State softball’s opening games in the Pirate-Spartan Classic against George Washington and Hampton have been canceled due to rain in Hampton, Virginia.

The Nittany Lions’ Saturday games against Delaware and Norfolk State are scheduled as planned, and there is currently no revised schedule to make up Friday’s games.

Penn State softball is 7-3 thus far in non-conference play. The team aims to turn its luck around in the tail-end of the Pirate-Spartan Classic this weekend as it rolls off a three-game skid from the Queen City Classic.

Following the Pirate-Spartan Classic, the Nittany Lions will head to Tampa, Florida for a five-game slate in the USF Tournament against Florida Gulf Coast, USF, St. Francis, and Marist.
