Pugh Street Subway Permanently Closes

Subway on Pugh Street permanently closed its doors on Monday, March 13, according to a sign posted on the door. The reason for its closure is currently unclear.

“Thank you to all of our loyal customers,” the sign read. “Please visit our other locations on Burrowes St. & E. College Ave.”

The chain, known for its footlong subs and catchy “Eat Fresh” slogan, was located at 300 S. Pugh St.

Any questions regarding the closure can be emailed to [email protected].

Subway joins its next-door-neighbor, Gumby’s Pizza, as the latest business to close its doors. Gumby’s was in business for 30 years.
