Three-Star Cornerback Antoine Belgrave-Shorter Commits To Penn State Football’s Class Of 2024

The recruits just keep on coming.

Class of 2024 three-star cornerback Antoine Belgrave-Shorter announced his verbal commitment to Penn State football Monday night.

Belgrave-Shorter made an unofficial trip to Happy Valley at the beginning of April, calling his visit a “great few days” in an April 2 Tweet. Ultimately, Belgrave-Shorter selected Penn State over Big Ten rivals Maryland, Michigan State, and Wisconsin, among others.

At 6’0″ and 180 pounds, Belgrave-Shorter is ranked as the No. 53 overall cornerback and the No. 87 player in Florida, according to 247Sports.

Belgrave-Shorter is the second player to commit to the Nittany Lions out of Mandarin High School in Jacksonville. Four-star cornerback Jon Mitchell announced his commitment to Penn State on April 1.

James Franklin has already secured two commitments from Florida in the Penn State’s growing Class of 2024. Belgrave-Shorter’s decision is just the latest example of a focus on the Sunshine State. Last year, safeties King Mack and Elliot Washington are two pieces of the Nittany Lions’ Class of 2023.

Outside of Florida, Belgrave-Shorter joins a Penn State Class of 2024 that features commitments from four-star prospects Quinton Martin, Cooper Cousins, Kenneth Woseley, and Anthony Speca. Belgrave-Shorter is the eighth player to join the class, which currently sits at No. 10 nationally according to 247Sports.
