Penn State Women’s Hockey Picks Up Transfer Defenseman Maggie MacEachern

Another MacEachern is coming to Happy Valley.

Maggie MacEachern is joining Penn State women’s hockey, the team announced on Tuesday. MacEachern joins the team after four seasons with Colgate.

MacEachern, who has one year of eligibility remaining, was a member of the Colgate group that finished the 2022-23 season ranked No. 5 in the country. Across her four seasons as a Raider, the defenseman played in 140 games and recorded 11 goals and 32 assists.

Penn State’s newest player is also the sister of former men’s hockey standout and current San Jose Barracuda Connor MacEachern. The four-year Nittany Lion totaled 31 goals and 46 assists during his Penn State career.
