Report: Former Penn State Running Back Devyn Ford Enters Transfer Portal

Former Penn State football running back Devyn Ford has reportedly entered the transfer portal, according to On3’s Matt Zenitz.

Ford left the football team after four games with the Nittany Lions last season. At the time, head coach James Franklin noted he decided to “focus on academics.”

Through four games, Ford only totaled 37 yards on seven carries, for an average of 5.3 yards per carry. He also contributed a bit in the receiving game, bringing in five receptions for 31 yards. He made an appearance in all four games before leaving the team.

The Stafford, Virginia native ended his Penn State career with 666 rushing yards and six touchdowns on 140 carries, along with 103 receiving yards on 20 receptions. Ford was the last remaining member of the original “Lawnboyz.”
