Pugh Street Starbucks To Officially Open May 19

After a long wait, downtown State College has two Starbucks locations once again.

In January 2023, the Starbucks located at 141 S. Garner St. closed and announced its relocation to the first floor of Pugh Centre, which sits at the corner of Pugh Street and Beaver Avenue.

For several months, the opening date was unclear but in an Instagram post on May 18, the location revealed that it would open its doors Friday, May 19. It will be open daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., according to an employee.

Because the HUB Starbucks is closed over the summer for renovations, the Pugh Centre location will offer Penn State students another option to get their daily dose of caffeine.
