TJ Malone Named To NCAA Men’s Lacrosse All-Tournament Team

TJ Malone’s season may be over but he isn’t quite done receiving recognition.

The Penn State men’s lacrosse attacker was named to the NCAA men’s lacrosse all-tournament team Monday following the conclusion of the NCAA Tournament. The honor came just two days after the Nittany Lions’ loss to No. 1 Duke in the tournament semifinal.

Malone was one of two players in the group that was named to the all-tournament team that didn’t reach the championship game.

The graduate student put together an impressive tournament run in his final games as a Nittany Lion. Malone finished the tournament with 12 goals and six assists, including six goals and two assists in the team’s loss to the Blue Devils.

Malone concluded the season with 39 goals and 36 assists as one of the Nittany Lions’ best attackers. He was also named the Big Ten’s Offensive Player of the Year and was named first-team All-Big Ten and earned All-American honorable mentions from Inside Lacrosse and USA Lacrosse Magazine.
