Tony Rojas Named To Shaun Alexander Freshman Of The Year Watch List

There’s no such thing as too young, folks.

Penn State football linebacker Tony Rojas was named to the Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year watch list Thursday. The award’s watch list is Rojas’ first during his time at Penn State.

Rojas is entering his first year at Penn State with high expectations. The Fairfax, Virginia, native was ranked as the No. 7 linebacker in the nation by the 247Sports Composite rankings, and has lived up to those ratings since he arrived in Happy Valley. James Franklin said Tuesday that he expects Rojas to shred his redshirt, while the freshman has received high praise around camp from coaches and teammates alike.
