Palestra Game Highlights Penn State Hoops’ 2023-24 Schedule

Penn State men’s basketball is right around the corner.

The Nittany Lions released their official schedule for the 2023-24 slate Tuesday, which notably features the team’s second straight home battle at The Palestra in Philadelphia on Sunday, January 7. This year, Mike Rhoades and Co. will take on Michigan in the Cathedral of College Basketball.

In Rhoades’ first year at the helm, his squad will begin conference play against Maryland on Wednesday, December 6, in College Park. The Big Ten slate will open exactly one month following its non-conference opener against Delaware State on Monday, November 6, at the Bryce Jordan Center.

Other non-conference opponents include Lehigh, St. Francis, Morehead State, Bucknell, Le Moyne, Rider, and the team’s opponents in the ESPN Events Invitational in November.

Penn State will play 10 games at the Bryce Jordan Center and travel to 10 away games within the conference schedule.

The Nittany Lions will play Michigan, Wisconsin, and Illinois at home, while they will challenge Purdue, Rutgers, and Nebraska on the road. The remainder of teams have an in-season home-and-home series with the blue and white.

Meanwhile, the Big Ten Tournament is scheduled to take place from Wednesday, March 13, to Sunday, March 17 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
