Penn State Hoops To Face Georgia Tech In Madison Square Garden December 16

Penn State men’s basketball is set to challenge Georgia Tech in the “World’s Most Famous Arena” at noon on Saturday, December 16, in New York City, the team announced Tuesday. The game will air on the Big Ten Network.

The Nittany Lions will add the Yellow Jackets to their non-conference slate which includes the ESPN Events Invitational and eight total out-of-conference regular-season matchups.

Penn State is 3-1 against the Yellow Jackets but hasn’t faced the team since November 2016. In their most recent matchup, the Nittany Lions defeated Georgia Tech 67-60 and split games in 2006 and 2008.

Tickets for the event have yet to hit the market. Those planning to attend the Holiday Festival can also watch St. John’s take on Fordham and the St. John’s women’s team duel the Villanova women’s basketball team, too.

The remainder of Mike Rhoades and Co.’s 2023-24 schedule can be found here, along with tip times and broadcast information.
