New Trail Brewing Co. To Donate Portion Of State Light Case Sales To Happy Valley United

Folks, you can now support Penn State student-athletes by drinking beer.

In a collaboration between New Trail Brewing Company and Happy Valley United, the official NIL collective of Penn State student-athletes, $1.50 of every State Light case purchase will go directly to Happy Valley United.

State Light, which was launched in August by New Trail and is sold in Beaver Stadium, is a 4.2%, 105-calorie light beer. Since State Light’s introduction, New Trail has sold over 10,000 cases of the lager.

“There’s nothing quite like Penn State Athletics and we’re proud to help support student-athletes through Happy Valley United with proceeds from our favorite beer to drink while watching them play,” New Trail Marketing Director Don Rieck said. “State Light will be your first-round draft pick all year long.”

The Happy Valley United logo will be featured on State Light cans moving forward, and the light beer will be dubbed the “Official Beer of Happy Valley United.”

“Our partnership with New Trail signals a buy-in by local businesses to Penn State student-athletes,” Happy Valley United General Manager of Development of Corporate Partnerships Jen Ferrang said. “New Trail’s generosity aligns with our vision to support NIL opportunities at Penn State for all student-athletes and gives Nittany Nation the opportunity to show their support on game day.”

Outside of Beaver Stadium, folks can purchase New Trail at McLanahan’s Downtown Market, Doggie’s, Pickle’s, Champs Downtown, Cafe 210 West, Wegman’s, and more.
