Penn State Football Offensive Lineman Olu Fashanu Named Reese’s Senior Bowl Midseason All-American

Penn State football’s Olu Fashanu was named a Reese’s Senior Bowl Midseason All-American, the team announced Thursday. He was the only Nittany Lion to receive the honor and one of just five offensive linemen named to the team.

The Waldford, Maryland, native started in all five games so far this season, and on 155 snaps of pass protection, Fashanu has allowed just one quarterback pressure. Fashanu has yet to allow a sack throughout his four-year career.

Fashanu has also been recognized as an AP Preseason All-American and semifinalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy.

Five other Big Ten student-athletes were named to the Reese’s Senior Bowl Midseason All-American team, including Michigan’s Roman Wilson and Mike Sainristil, Iowa’s Erick All, Ohio State’s Tommy Eichenberg, and Minnesota’s Tyler Nubin.
